EeePee the mastodon video was good. I am trying to get into the mars Volta but I just can't. The sound of his voice just seems to make me want to turn it off.

I know, I'm with ya. In the very beginning I was convinced it was a chick... I've had every Mars Volta album for years and didn't REALLY get into them. Not until the newest album came out did I start going back through their catalog to try again. The live shows aren't really all that good sounding, I agree. But most aren't in my opinion, so I take em all with a grain of salt. I'm much more into the studio albums of all artists, and the same goes for Mars Volta's.

One thing that's in the back of my mind about them is their previous band was a lot more energetic than this one, so they're trying, and that counts. Speaking of which, they've reunited very recently.

Look how much thinner he was back in the day.

I came across this guy, and think he's okay, maybe a bit wordy, but not bad.

So, I'm listening to Torche's newest, and he was correct. It ain't bad.

Yeah, this is what all the hipsters watch, and then they post a song that he just reviewed on facecack... to look cool. I personally try to keep a hipster around, because they do all the "hard work" of "listening to everything before everyone else" and posting the good stuff that I'd probably like. Then all I have to do is listen to it. It's like your own personal radio station that's better than pandora or lastfm... plus the snide remarks that accompany the musical post are always entertaining.
