Default need some advice on jeep seat

my 99 jeep grand cherokee (power seats) driver side seat doesnt move forward or backward. All other directions work fine. I can hear the motor when i push the switch to go forward/backward but nada. Any ideas?

What is the mechanical drive mechanism ? Worm drive ? I would look into that,stripped gears,lose set screw, out of alignment.....

yea i need to its just a pita to take the seat out.
Not even my ride its the wifes I outta make her take it out
and tell her that she needs to learn so there for she has to do it.
That Prolly wont go over to good though.

Id look for a worm gear as well. I know some electronic seats have a rod that connects the seat to the motor so it could have popped out of place.

If all else fails go to the junkyard those seats can be had for pretty cheap.
