I had this site and photobucket open today uploading some pics. I came back and it was f'd, have to take it into work and have the tech. people look at it. It shows up as a windows 7 anti-virus/firewall program. I am unable to access internet and other basic programs.

About 2 hours ago I was looking up a motor and my computor shut down completely. I restarted it in safe mode and ran virus scan restated and now is fine, don't know what caused it though.

I had similar....

Twice in less then an hour I received notice that a malicious attack was blocked by my system.

Left the room for a few mins... Came back to the same pop up notice, but no longer could access internet on that computer. STILL have no internet on it. Tried a System Restore to an earlier point and it won't even allow the restore to take place/complete.

If you find anything out, please drop me a PM

It's not jsut here guys. I was affected by it as well. My wife frequents a forum about cloth diapering and such and it got her laptop as well. There is one like mentioned before called Windows 7 Virus/antispyware and one for Vista. Its's all over the internet on numerous forums and webpages. On the wifes pc iit was in the c:windows/system32 folder. In the processes menu it shows up at YSG.exe. you can find the file and delete it. One of the few programs I have found that can remove stuff like that is malwarebytes. Great free program for getting rid of all sorts of nasties. I had to reload my laptop last week due to this same virus damageing the file system so badly.

Well the same thing happened to me about a month ago and I restored my pc and screwed up some how and deleted everything my wife paid 100$ for some software she needed for school and it deleted that as well all my pics are gone .. I thought it was from photobucket becuase I was uploading pics and came back and it was all jacked up so it went to restore and it wouldn't let me.. So I restarted my pc to like it WAs the day I got it thinking I had everything backed up and then when I went to load it it said file corrupted and wouldn't load is there someway I can get all my pics back and my wives school work and her softwares.. I mean can a tech go back and find all that stuff somewhere in my laptop.. Because she is highly pissed she had so many reports and essay's saved in her filed and I screwed it all up

There are businesses that can recover lost/deleted data. They normally charge by the Mb.

I haven't had a virus since I stopped using Photobucket. I'm sure I got one from there.
Also I use 'AVG free' antivirus, what are you guys using?

I use a trifecta for "general" use:
AVG
SuperAntiSpyware
Spybot Search and Destroy.

My "big gun" is "Bazooka" (aptly named i might add lol), but I haven't had to use it lately.

I run a full scan with each 1-2 times a week.

Just got hit with it on my laptop. RCC was the only page I had open too.....
Win7 virus...

It even pops up in safe mode!!! I was trying to run malwarebytes in safe mode and it started popping up in there! Now I can't even do anything in safe mode !!

Looks like I'll be having to use my IPhone till this crap gets fixed.

I'm sure it's something in the ads at the top of the page.
