Now looking at scale the same way. If we kept designing parts to be even more realistic then we would not be making them more competitive. A true scale Dana 44 in a class one truck would snap housings and shafts with the drops we do on courses.
Anything stands a chance as long as its surrounded by and competes against rigs that are like it.

Comp rig rules allow them to be as cutting edge as possible, which is how it should be. They are performance based. Scale rig rules point rigs in the opposite direction (for the most part), which keeps them as scale looking as possible without being impossible or unpleasurable to drive. Scale rigs could be more true to scale than they are now but nobody would drive them. They'd be too fragile and it would suck all the fun out of things. Maybe that's just a reiteration of what you just said...

The committee did a great job with the scale rules. There isn't much to argue with.

Anybody seen my t-shirts...?

In 2009 I paid for two classes at MSD Scale Nats. Later it turned out that I couldn't make-it. I contacted Ben and was told he couldn't refund my entry fees, but he would send me the t-shirts along with the other entry swag. I later found out Ben sold my shirts/swag/entries at the event and I was shit out of luck...

After confronting Ben he said he was having more made. Months went by and after more lies/stalling, finally Ben said he had the shirts but he wouldn't ship them to me because he thought I would make a video cutting them-up and wiping my ass with them...

He was right, fuk him.

Same here. Paid for my tickets, couldn't make it. I didn't ask for a refund but rather just wanted my shirt that was promised. I never got one. That was a expensive shirt not to get...
