So I gotta ask...if its so bad, why go? Start your own, maybe take Ricky's suggestion and hold it in a central location like Disney. Couple that with better management and you're sure to get a good turnout with happy participants.

If I was a bettin' man, I'd say bigger (and better) things are in store. Too many people are upset and want to see something better.

But shit, I haven't touched a RC in years.

As an outsider, I'm amazed that Aaron is sticking his neck out for Ben instead of letting Ben stand up for himself.

Ben made a good bit of money from the people here on RCC. He could at least answer customer questions/concerns instead of making Aaron the monkey in the middle.

Ultimately, when dealing with a company and customer satisfaction/support, it comes down to one man.

Aaron is not that one man.

Hmmm....lets go back to 2005...... When I started to get phone calls from Jason and Badger about the shitty quality of my chassis, I had to ask where did they purchase a pile of them for their donation builds when I was the ONLY seller of them. Hmm... Issues stemmed from Montana where someone bought one, then had some ho-dunk machinist copy them only to be sold as an actual RCRockGear Bulu Chassis. All of the RCRG Bulu chassis(B1, B2 & few B3's) all had the same markings to indicate that they were originals.

The ones that Ben was hustling were crappy fakes. I still wonder how much money he made off of me. I even feel bad for those that bought one off of him and thought I was a joke due to his inability to be a friend.

RCRG only allowed one other person on RCC to make copies, those copies were made in carbon fiber and were nice representations of our chassis.

It took a lot for me to make the trip out to Montana in 2010. Same with 2011. I still had a sour Ben taste in my mouth from years before. It only takes a small kick in the balls by a "friend" to make you second guess them forever.

That's all I have to say.

That depends on who is putting it on. Could be that the OP is the first one to get fed up enough to make a public stink about it (though this could be the latest of several threads on this matter...I'm inclined to think its the former more than the latter).

I can guarantee that the newest big scale event has had nothing to do with that video nor it's production.

Lets say, without Oregon, Washington and Utah guys, the Montana event would never happen. It's dominated by the PNW and Utards.

That would depend in no small part on the manner in which it was promoted Tim. I was there in 2011 too and not only share in the frustrations you posted about but also would be in favor of more large scale events for scale crawling. That being said however there are better ways to go about starting and promoting an event than resorting to childish drama and highschoolesque videos.

Lmao! I was going to post that one of the first things he copied (to my knowledge) was the bulu chassis.

He also copied one of chino63's parts and out right lied to me about it over the phone as he was changing his posts on orcrc's forum not knowing I had already made a copy of the entire thread just in case.

I caught Ben in countless lies over the years and have written him off as the true used car salesman friend he was.
