|  cee lo ushers in new year and managed to piss me off
so this guy, draped in a carpet and ensconced in gold, decided to change two lyrics in john lennon's imagine. i heard two lyric changes though im seeing the media only picked up on the one. the most obvious was "and all religion's true" which is meant to be "and no religion too" the second one i heard was "imagine all possessions, i wonder if you can" which should be "imagine NO possessions...." though the thought of someone as well fed and dressed as mr. cee lo suggesting we imagine no possessions is insultingly hypocritical maybe its a more appropriate mantra to adopt going into 2012. if you want to imagine a world with no possessions you'd best imagine a world with no ressessions. cant afford to not spend. so, in short, cee lo put a negative spin on an evening Carson Daily worked really hard at making very boring. |
