Not me, I had a grasshopper. The Hornet is a upgraded grasshopper (the hopper had a 380 motor) My first r/c car was a subaru brat which was a Frog with out a differential. Man that thing was fast. I still like my Midnight Pumpkin, that was the first r/c I had that could go on grass. |

The Brat came before the Frog. I got two Brat's on eBay yesterday. Stripped them down and will rebuild to have a runner. The wheels are soaking in bleach rigt now. | |

It was my first RC too. I still have mine, and it still runs. Seeing it all nice and shiny makes me want a new one. BTW about the Bruiser, Tamiya has been re-releasing kits, and have been doing it in order. The Wild Willy was kit #33. The Lancia Rally was kit #40. The Hornet was kit #45. The Bruiser was kit #49! |

Yea, but the Willy2 uses a different chassis, so does the Lancia. Neither one is what I would consider re-releases. Body only is about it. I believe the Dyna Storm has been re-released, and the Tyrell 6-wheeler is coming out next month too. |

Yes, your right. The Wild Willy had a slightly better chassis. The Lancia had a much better chassis and interior improvements. The Hornet seems unchanged, but it doesn't have the same kit #(5845 vs 58336). My point is, these cars have been brought out in the same order that the originals were introduced. Tamiya probably won't make another Bruiser, but if they did, it would come out next.

How do you figure the Bruiser's next? I don't follow the logic. 'Sides, the Tyrell P34 was kit 03, and is being re-released this month as an XB, so they're not releasing them in order. Rumor I saw on TC was the next re-release is to have the Paddle Track tires. Grasshopper? Sand Scorcher? If the latter, will that open the door to other SRB's being re-released? BTW: The Willy was kit 35, and the Bruiser's 48. |

I didn't know about the Tyrrell. That blows a hole in my theory. Oh well. BTW Wild Willy #33, Bruiser #49. At least as far as Tamiya is concerned. |
