Default sticker maker and copyright.

i got my hands on a sticker maker (i dont know how it works yet) but i was wondering about scale stickers and the rules of copyright, is this infringement (sp) or do i not need permission, i wanted to make them for other people also but i was thinking if the company found out they might get mad...... im not trying to profit from it i was planning on charging: postage/supplies cost.

Yes, they would probably get a little heated over it. As someone said, use Jeep logos, they dont give a damn

This is not legal advice:
Profit or no profit, it is a copyright infringement. As I understand it, it's a common misconception that the copyright infringement is based on profit when that is not the case. If you distribute, it's an infringement. You could be sued, but mostly likely no one would ever notice you and if they did, a cease and desist order would most likely be issued. If you then ignored that, you could be threatened with a lawsuit.

that sounds like what i was thinking. maybe ill make personalized graphics with it or something... and sneak a few goodies in there.
im not trying to get into trouble over stickers though.
how would you go about permission of something like that. if you could get enough of them to agree then it would be possible to make a strip.

ha we have the same amount of posts

No, we don't.

Could you make me some funky "This side up!" (copyright, ha!) stickers for the roof of my crawler?

What kind of stickers does the sticker maker make? Is it like a little kids sticker maker with paper type stickers or some good vynil type stickers.
I need some made of my vertical smile logo. PM me with some info and what the stickers would or could look like.

In R/C I cant see a MFG. getting pissed at some free advertising. Look at the big picture..... Would these companies really try to hunt you down over a $2 sticker with their logo?!?
