iPhone Contacts to Android

I recently traded in my iPhone for an HTC Android based phone. About 30% of my contact info was lost. Is there any way to retrieve this info from iTunes and get it on the HTC? Of course there was a couple hundred dollars worth of music that I assume will have to stay in iTunes.

I can live without this stuff but it would be nice...

To get your contacts from iPhone to Google/Android follow this:
HOW TO: Transfer Contacts From iPhone to Android

And all of your iTunes files that are DRM-free will play on your Android without problem. Check this for more information:

I have had 3 HTC Android phones, why would you change from a iPhone to a HTC? Those things are basket cases!

You have to have the iPhone to do this. I traded it in! I actually did get my music but those pesky contacts are still out of reach.

You upload all your contacts to your gmail account and then download them to the new phone. Both Iphone and Android can do this.

The salesman did this but copied an old file from the iPhone's card. Subsequently I'm missing some info. This is one of the reasons why I dislike Apple products. They don't play nice with others.

They play perfectly fine when you don't let the phone store rhutard help you. Whatever happened to people helping themselves?

Since you lost your phone, not easy way other than manual entry.

What you should have done:
1. Sync itunes to Outlook or Windows Address Book
2. Get new phone, sync new phone to Outlook or Windows Address Book

I made the same switch and had a similar problem.. User error but somehow linked it to Facebook and now I have 1223 phone numbers and addresses to people I don't wanna call..

sorry to hear about the contacts loss. i couldnt find a way to switch samsung r450 to iphone 3g to huawei ascend/android, just had to do it manually, i did the same, backed them up in itunes. i should have made a file on the cpu, then load it to an sd card, then load through contacts menu on the droid.
you can also checkout androidforums, tons of useful info!
