Bullet for My Valentines Cover of No Easy Way Out (from Rocky 4) is by far superior to the original.

I am not as hard core as many, but also No Doubt's cover It's My Life it better, as is Letters to Cleo cover of Cruel to Be Kind

Since The Dude brought up Slayer, they put out an entire album of old punk covers......here's one of my favorites:
(NWS, bad language)

There's nothing better than a thrash band covering two old school punk songs in under 2 minutes!

I'm kinda surprised nobody has mentioned The Red Hot Chili Pepper's rendition of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground

How the hell is everyone embedding youtube videos? I've tried the old code, the new code and it will not cooperate...

Muddy Waters did a hell of a job on the original:

but Jeff Beck & Imogen Heap's version is killer!
Seasick Steve did an amped up live version of this song too!

A few from JD and the gang. I also like their cover of Metallica's One, but I'm not sure if it is better.

Helmets version of "Gigantor" AWSOME!
