Blackfoot resurrection

hey guys...i recently got my old Tamiya Blackfoot back from a buddy of mine and this was my first r/c truck and this thing is a blast to drive thats why i got it back from him. but after reading on everyone building practically anything for their rigs......i was thinking about building new susp. arms for my Blackfoot...but i had a question..i have some aluminum rod stock laying around and also some revo rod ends from my Madd Maxx build......could u build the susp. arms the same way as u would for end links for rock crawlers? i wanna do this so that i can play around with the width of the truck to make it more stable cuz i wanna make it to a like high speed 2wd all terrain kinda truck. i mean for what it is..its actually pretty fast with a modded motor and a 3000 pack in it lol any suggestion would be great thanx guys.

I'm gonna say no. The rod ends pivot side to side also. So they would not only swing up and down. They would basically just flop all over the place.

You would have to make 2 A frames on top and bottom out of the links, attaching to the top and bottom of your hub.

well the arms them selves do attach to the knuckles themselves.....what else could i do though...just take out the ball joint in the end joints itself? i was thinking about that too :?:

I would just try to find different arms off another truck.
