| Re: RCC Intro: 3D Animation Awesome, thanks Jason! Thanks guys! I'm glad RCC likes it Bob, just like a crawler... an animation is never finished! The 3d was done in Maya and composited in After Effects. The audio was also edited in AE... I do mostly print work so it's always fun to get into some animation. |

| Re: RCC Intro: 3D Animation One of these is correct, but I doubt you want a green star. So I will let you choose who the star goes to Norm. You can pick the winner however you choose. Now can anyone find and post the vid to the correct one of these movies? |

The fly through the spur really limited a clean approach on the idler/outdrive. I redid that camera movement at least a dozen times by hand. and yup, Fight Club. David Fincher loves this stuff. Right out of school I attempted a microscopic reveal shot but got buried in the environment details after seeing the Fight Club intro... It was impossible for one guy to match the population of objects in it. I think the drive train works as an interesting free standing object... everyone likes to look at gears! I tried a few effects in the background, axle housings and a transmission case to make a background environment but finally went with the original plan of dark with limited visibility. I love it! The detail on that spur and the motor brushes is incredible! Great job! That gold star is well deserved.
