Hell, I've always felt bad when I had loud vehicles. At least once I left my teenage years that is. Then again, most of the time my loud vehicles were bikes, and got parked at dark and swapped for the truck/car.

When I was in my early 20's I used to think it was funny to idle down some side streets and let the rumble of the exhaust on the '71 Blazer set off every car alarm at 1:30 am. Now I know how pissed off I'd be if I got woke up by some joker coming though with something that would set off the alarms. |

My favorite loud moto trick was to catch people driving like shit where there were two lanes going both ways. You could get a run at them in the other lane making sure you had enough speed to coast by them, then slightly hold in the kill switch to flood the cylinder with fuel with no spark, then right as you're at their window, let off the kill switch and BOOM! Only works with open race exhausts if you like to keep your exhaust packing LOL. I had one soccer mom mini van pilot about shit her pants when I did it to her.

i actually had my neighbor approach me about my AE86 corolla GTS i had in 2003. "it wakes my wife up and she cant get back to sleep after that." "sorry, i need to leave early to get to defending our nation on time." in his defense, it was at 4:30am and it was a full exhaust to a "fart can", no resonator. I'm such a nice guy, i actually went to the muffler shop that weekend and put a 14 inch resonator on it. he never said anything else. not sure if it was my reply or my actions. both? |
