Yeah... "Wind of Change" is on my "homicidal" song list.

"In Trance" is probably my favorite from that era. However, (maybe something was getting lost in translation?) they were terrible lyricists.

Had everything old Scorpions in my long gone LP collection, including the "pervert" cover Virgin killer album.

Like with so many bands it is the old stuff that rock, driving around today i have taken in a lot of old Rainbow and Deep purple.
And i even spiced it up with a few old MSG tracks.

I like Micheal Schenker, but his MSG output is very hit/miss. During his solo career, he was trying too hard to write hits, so some of his songs felt very contrived.

Love that isht. Was blaring AC/DC ‘A Long Way to the Top’ once at a redlight and got a similar reaction. When the guy rolled the window he was on his cell, so I turned down the volume. He said, “f’in turn it back up. For the lads back home!” in a funny accent. So I did.

In Trance was great... Yellow Raven being one of my favorite Scorpions songs to this day. I too remember the controversial original Virgin Killer album cover lol. I never really listened to much MSG but I'm a huge Schenker fan regardless. For me, Fly To The Rainbow ( 1974) trumps everything else. Followed closely by Lonesome Crow ( 1972). Although Lonesome Crow is fairly unrefined, it was one of the most intense albums I'd ever heard back when I was a teenager... and listening to it even now, brings back a flood of pretty fantastic memories. Blackout ( 1982) was never a favorite of mine although China White completely blew my mind. Lovedrive ( 1979) had some awesome tracks like Coast to Coast, Holiday, and Always Somewhere but I never really connected with Animal Magnetism which came only a year later. I saw Scorpions twice in my day... once in Columbus Ohio and again at Monsters Of Rock in Indiana. One of the best groups I've ever seen... and I've seen a few lol.

So... Fastway, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Montrose... anyone?
