| questions about asthma and altitude
How many of you guys have asthma and live at an altitude of 3000' or higher? I've given thought, more than once lately, about moving. I really love the area around northern Colorado. I have asthma which has been fairly well controlled w/ a rescue inhaler. I just wonder if living up at an altitude like that would complicate the issue.

my asthma is triggered by pollution and once by me mowing the super tall dead grass on the hottest day of the year, so maybe you will be better off living in colorado than baltimore?

My Mom has asthma and lives at 8000 feet, it does not bother to much just as long it's not to dusty, smokey or there are cats around.

Thanks for the replies so far. My biggest triggers are dust/pollen and humidity, which are in abundance in the filthy air all around Baltimore.

Not much problem with humidity out there though.. My son has asthma and we were concerned the first time we took him from 800ft asl to 11000ft asl. but there were no issues. We were even on the dusty high mountain roads and he was fine. His triggers are usually allergy related. |
