Here is a good read about the oil boom in ND. My mom sent me this, she still lives in ND. I am originally from ND and was in the oil fields back in 81' to 84'.

That was a interesting time in my life, but it was nothing like it is now. So if anybody is thinking about going over there to make some money, you can.

I would read this article first though. It is a 10 page read, but a really good one.

I was born and raised here in Williston. Left for 6 years for college and moved back to a completely different town. It's interesting here, but to me it's not as crazy as the media makes it out to be. Maybe I am just used to it. If you are thinking of coming and want to talk to an actual resident feel free to ask any questions you might have."thumbsup" My family has been here since the 50's and we are all oilfield, so I will answer to the best of my abilities.
