welcome to the real world

so i've finally found out why being an adult sucks so much. i have my first job at a whare house. I had been working part time maybe 10-20 hours a week just when ever my brother needed me. well no that theres more equipment to be cleaned i get to work 8+ hour days, then come home, and try an work on the crawler, but just not working. ugh, it sucks having new ideas you wana try an build but have to work >:@ can't even do it tomorrow, another fun day of work ahead. ah well, nice to at least have some income

Look at the bright side you've only got another 50+ years of it to go.

Stay in school, work hard, and get a job doing what you like! I design and build show cars all day, and build RCs all night!

Wait till you have a wife and kids. Time is the one thing you will have none of;-)

You get no sleep either.

Bknight 07-28-2006 11:35 PM

ya, hopefully i'm going to go to either the Naval or Coast Guard Academy, so definatly no job then. but i most definatly plan on going to college. i'll be happy with my job as long as i can design stuff. special boats. my main interest is naval architect but only 4 schools offer it, two are academy's...
oh well, my job isn't to bad since its only 3 guys working, and my brother is in charge of me, it just gets really tireing and boring cleaning medical equipment for 6 hours

Did you mean to say 'Warehouse',or 'Whore House'? Both would be fitting places for you to work.

No chit! I get home around 7-7:30 each night, get to see the kid until he goes to bed which is around 8:30...by 9pm I'm ready to relax but there's always stuff to get done. Hit the sack around 11pm only to get up at 6am. Growing up sucks.

Bren 07-29-2006 10:55 AM

i know what its like being young and never having time, im almost 19 and work in a warehouse working swing and ive been working 10 or 11 hour days lately so i leave my house at 2:30 in the afternoon and dont get home till 2:30 in the morning.. and i sleep most the day till it all starts again.. and right now im trying to build my first crawler but never have time to get to it.

RD400 07-29-2006 11:00 AM

The only time I get to work on my junk is after everyone is in bed. Thats the reason that I post stuff on here at 3:30...AM.

The only time I get to work on my cralwer is when I put my little on in his car seat and take him out to the shop with me.;-) Ever tried to feed and put link together at the same time. It's tricky.

Your insurance doesn't drop more than inflation raises the cost though, so it cancels out. You will be able to insure some nicer stuff though.

Bknight 07-29-2006 06:32 PM

ya speaking of insurance that really pisses me off. we had to sell my first car cause they wouldn't ensure me. it was "to dangerouse" so they say. it was the sweetest 79 CJ5 jeep ever. body/paint was perfect with a huge tuned 302. so now i have to drive a 92 wrangler. once i'm 25 i'm getting a cj5 though. luckly i don't have to pay for my insurance until i get a ticket, then i have to, so far no ticket :D

PSST, YJ's and CJ-7's are essentially the same vehicle, just a diffrent front end and dash. Meaning, you could put a CJ front end on if you wanted that look.

that is what i thought it said after i skimmed it the first time.....then he said he had to keep the equipment clean:shock:

Bknight 07-31-2006 08:50 AM

lol, ya, no one likes dirty 'used' looking merchandise :flipoff: nah, big difference in the cjs/yjs yes, i have seen the fronts switched but thats about it. i like the whole lay out and feel of the cjs better, but it is nice to know you can take a turn faster then 10mph with out feeling like your gonna flip
