This should start another interesting thread...

So I talked to my pops earlier in the day (who is what one might call a "right wing extremist") and he asked me if Id heard of '2016: Obamas America'. Of course he says its a must watch film for anyone who cares about America. I try and explain how its no different than a Michael Moore film (maybe less annoying) and that its the same as any movie thats politically bias. Trying to convince him of that however, was like trying to convince him that smoking was good for him.

People who still think in a "left/right" mindset are the real sheep of this country. It wouldnt drive me nuts so much if everyone who wanted to talk politics didnt already have a predisposed bias bred from ignorance from the start.


So, what does everyone think about the movie? Anyone going to see it?

Only docs I watch are independent on The Flix.

Not gonna see it. If it was less obviously biased, I might.

Everything is speculation anyway, and it doesn't matter who the Pres is, if he's not a Republican the extremists are going to be claiming he's the anti-christ set to destroy the country.

The real issue is how so many people are kept binded (or blinded) by sides. Its like its genetically imprinted in their DNA one way or the other. How does one fix that?

Its only biased and ignorant from your viewpoint. Which makes you biased and ignorant when viewed from the other side. Which further devides us all.

Not that I agree or disagree. I have not watched either movie and dont plan on it.

I do know that everyone is devided on everything these days. Its sad really.

No, its biased and ignorant because it is a movie of assumptions with the intent to instill fear in the voting public. There is a reason it is being released right before elections.

For the record, I won't watch obviously biased movies about Republicans either.

I'll watch it.. I think it's time we got to know Obama, not the immaculatly conceived one the vast majority of the media's been pushing since 08. I mean, we knew everything about Bush and then some (made up national guard stories, etc.) If NBC/CBS/CNN etc. won't tell us about Obama, why not little ol' Dinesh d'souza.

I dont take "sides" so I guess that makes me "non-bias".

So what, youre saying unless I agree with what the movie is saying Im bias?

I dont see how pointing out that the film is bias, is bias.
