LOVE the Chevelles. HATE when movies wreck em or ANY classic for that matter. Never been a HUGE fan of the 70's models but they still turn my head.

1st car I ever built was a 64 Malibu TRUE SS....aaaaand of course I sold it to some Japanese cat that shipped it home. Dumbass 20yr old.

It's a good one to choose but ALL TIME FAV? There's so many different TYPES of car. I'd have a REALLY hard time choosing. For a low-n-slow cruiser...a chopped & channeled Merc, 51 GM 5-Window, 63 Lincoln Continental Covertible. Pure muscle...My 64 Malibu, 67 Camero, 55 Bel Air.
Then theres my 1930 Model A BONE STOCK that's a GREAT parade car. My head hurts just tryin to pick a few...let alone ONE. BUT...as I said, a 70 Chevelle would be HIGH on that list.

add the LS6 option and it moves even higher on the list :D
im of course refering to my classic muscle list. but it would be top 5 of my all time, all cars list (exotics etc)

Too bad there are no 1/10 rc bodies being made! That would for sure be a hot seller! I love those metal heffa's as well !

Saw this movie over the weekend. I thought it was great, as were the cars. I cringed every time it took a hit though. I can't watch nice cars get beat up. To this day I still haven't seen the Aston Martin wreck in Casino Royale remake.

It's only a Chevelle, there's enough new repro parts out there that unless they were destroying the frame and tub in those scenes, they could be rebuilt.

No such thing as, "only" a Chevelle. I was concieved in the back seat of a 1970 Chevelle. I have a genetic predisposition for loving that car, so **** them for wrecking that beauty.

Hopefully they're using reproduction shells like these Licensed Replacement Body Shells rather than an original.

I'd prefer that, especially if there will be any '68-'70 Chargers used (I'd actually prefer a repro starting point, less work!) for these kinds of movies!

Hope at some point somebody does a XJ at somepoint, mine's still astoundinly solid for it's age but...............

Anyone here watched the end credits of the Dukes of Hazard movie from a few years ago? They had a big montage of wrecking Chargers they jumped in the movie. It just about made me cry, but it was pretty neat.

Hot Rod had an article about the movie and it's cars, apparently with the abuse those Chargers saw during filming, they stood up well. At one point the last big jump went wrongand even though that Charger got some serious air, they were still able to fix it enough to launch a second time. I also remember reading that the reason the assasins in Bullett were in a Charger is that the stunt team didn't feel the Galaxy they had originally planned to use was going to take the abuse of that chase scene and recommended that the then new Charger be used instead.
