Did they go through and count the number of new discoveries? If they did, then why is it still an "estimation"? If they didnt, then it's just hogwash...

I am skeptical because of the Y-axis of your graph. Typically graphs have numerical values that represent BOTH axis of the graph.....

Shut up and believe me.

Otherwise, it took us roughly 1000 years to get caught back up to where we were before the Dark Ages. I said "estimation" because I don't put total faith in unknowns. It could have been more, it could have been less.

Apparently Jeremy wants only to deal with exact figures.

Might as well leave this thread now.

Nope....sorry, I cant. I need you to provide a scientific test to prove the results of your graph.

BTW, I came up with a similar graph:

One can tell from the graph, that I am WAAAY cool! It's "scientific"......believe me.

That 1000 year gap may be a good thing. That may have slowed us down enough to have kept from completely destroying ourselves. Seems sometimes the smarter we get we do dumber things. Or it could be 180 from that statement. Who's to say!
