Just remember that the speed limit in a residential area is 50 mph.

Congrats. Don't drink and drive, you WILL regret it and anything over 20-25mph over the limit, you go to jail.

Remember, bump this thread when you wreck your first car, should be less than a year.

Don't forget to include texting and driving to that too, Futurabat on Model Cars Magazin's forum just posted this earlier today.............and pay attention to his injuries and what he was driving when hit!
Quote:
Don't Text and Drive!
The life you save may be mine. A couple weeks back, i'm not sure how long as I was unconscious for several days, I was hit broadside in an intersection by a young man who truly believed he could text and drive at the same time. Obviously...he couldn't! Thanks to an exceptionally well built Lincoln Town car I am here to talk about it. I am awake at this hour (4:am) only because the pain in my left side woke me up. Since my meds have waned a bit i'm lucid enough to write and let my friends here know I am okay, or at least will be in a few weeks.
The accident fractured my hip, left humerus, left femur and cracked three ribs. Had I not remained perfectly still right afterward I would most likely have suffered a punctured lung as well.

So to all my friends out there on this and other boards...please...I beg of you for your safety and the safety of those who have to share the road with you, DON'T text and drive. It's not worth it. There is nothing, NOTHING so important that it can't wait until you're home or able to stop somewhere. I'm going to climb down now from my soap box, take a pain pill and go back to bed. Thank you all for reading and god bless.
