A few years ago a friend of mine lost his wife to a drunk driver, he made it through the funeral fine and for a few days longer.
Then one day it just hit him, he just completely came undone and actually never was the same again, lost his job, home , everything.
I remember thinking , man, when this finnally sinks in to him I hope he can take it.

Yep. We see it often at my job. In fact, we have a patient under treatment that hasn't told ANY of his family members (spouse included) that he has cancer and is receiving treatments....

There is no solution. A unarmed society is a society full of victims. Law dont affect those who dont abide by them. Never have, never will. Random $hit happens. Needless deaths happen. Deal with it. A criminal can get a gun as easy as cocaine, weed or heroin. Their illegal as hell and in every town in America.

Less medication of youth
Better education regarding mental health
Better funding for mental health. Stop having the jail system do the work.
Better proactive policing and better training for police on iding potential trouble spots.
Break up the "inner city"
Invade Mexico and use our military to deal a major blow to the cartel and the guns/drugs they provide gangs
Tougher penalties for offenders. Death penalties for murder and violent rape.
Make prison a punishment. No more prisoner rights. You commit a crime you have no rights.
Do not name killers by name or show them on tv. They are monsters treat them as such.
Stop the pussification of America. Not everyone loves you, get over it.
Stress discipline at home. Spankings are NOT a bad thing.
No more sealing juvie records.
All crimes tried as an adult.
Forced labor without pay in prison

There are no examples of guns being taken from a country and nobody ever dying from a crime afterwards. The UK has ultra strict gun control, yet people still die from gun crime and other forms of crime.
