| Paypal helped
This past week has been pretty chitty, I had 2 seperate unauthorized transactions for nearly $1000.00 each from some jackass in Great Britain called CYCLINGCOMPONENTSINTERNET;GB . I have'nt owned a bicycle in years. The first one I noticed after a chargeback from my metal supplier Onlinemetals.com and contacted paypal and they reversed that transaction and canceled my paypal debit card, they said that would be the end of it. Then 2 days later the same company charged another nearly $1000.00 , son of a biotch, called Paypal again and asked what the hell, the same company that I had reported had hit me a second time. They said there should have been no way they could have placed another order to my account but come to find out because they had started the transaction before the card was canceled that it was able to go through. Well, they eventually reveresed these charges as well this morning. I would recomend to anyone that has a debit card to not use it internationally as Paypal said this is becoming a regular situation to occur. If the merchant does'nt accept Paypal it is best to either buy else where or use a pre loaded debit card that can be thrown away after use or at least have zero balance untill ready to use. This all advice from Paypal. I must give Paypal props for correcting this nearly $2000.00 disaster. It has created a delay for me and my buisness temporally as it has set me back approx. 7 days and I appoligize to all that are waiting on orders, I reordered my Ti rod material and got it shipped 2nd day air but won't see it untill monday so I have some axle blanks started and will be super busy getting caught back up and again I appoligize to all that are waiting and have sent PM's to all waiting, Bob Last edited by CREEPERBOB; 03-22-2013 at 01:18 PM. |

Yeah I tell you what Jeremy, this is the kind of thing that fu*k's me up, I can't stand a frickin' thief. Worthless pieces of chit. And bold to do it twice, WTF. I'm a little guy, someone with big operations with Paypal may not have even noticed, Paypl told me if I had'nt have called when the first one was done it was still in the pending action, so no money's had been transfered so they were able to cancel it and reverse the funds to my account, but the second one completed, they said usually if it is completed it could take up to 6 months to get the funds reveresed but since I had already caught it and had my card canceled I was protected. |

My bank canceled my debit card Wednesday. Apparently there was a massive breach to a card processor. Visa and Mastercard are both still looking into the depth of the breach. So, my card was canceled along with tons of others as a precaution. Supposed to have the new card next week.

I had a similar issue months ago with some Russian/European dating/escort website charging my debit card in a similar fashion. Caught it the first time, the bank canceled my card and refunded my money. A week later there was another, nearly exact charge from the same place.
