| old mustang
this is an old r/c mustang from sears from 1986 that I picked up for 2 dollars at a local thrift store. I plan on putting a real rx and servos in it someday, and probably just using the old msc, it does work really well, after all. Finished! Talk about dirty.. whew... Definitely in need of a good radio.... and whee! more dirt. |

P.S. Check out the link in my sig, tell me what y'all think. Not really a crawler, just a 4wd buggy to play with. I had made the u-joints from brass tubing and 2-56 size screws.

put a real motor in there with HG stuff, keep the original tires on there and make a burnout king...or simulate scene's from Bullitt with your dog/cat

I think it's funny you said it's old and from 1986 in the same sentence. Makes me feel old. I had a 1:6 scale mustang I purchased at Walmart in '88 cause I was working there and got the 10% off. It was faster than my willy jeep. I ended up lighting it on fire and driving it around until it wouldn't. That pic brought back some memories. |

It is old considering I was only 11 when it first came out. :-P Oh, and it already spins like crazy even with the crappy old electrics... so just a better motor would do wonders.

I actually have what's left of a rude and crude modded Hot Machine and two Intruders[same as the Hot Machine but smaller tires/slightly different body]that I have been thinking about rigging into a smaller scale crawler[winter in the livingroom-my five year old daughter likes to create obstacles for my trucks to climb even plays human rock-pile and laughs her butt off while I run over her with my NB Rock Crawler and or my Intruder]but the drive shaft problem was bugging me.For suspension arms I've been thinking of using Super Clod steering parts /joints but I haven't figured out mounts for the diffies yet.

I had one of those when I was about 10, right when I really started to get into models. I tubed it out and put skinny tures on the front. It was a sweet looking car. Too bad it was another of the many cool cars I lost a long time ago when I got divorced.

i'll probably sell them. i checked on ebay and they were around 25-30 assembled so if i get 50 for the both i'd be happy. if you are interested in them let me know, i'll cut you a deal on them if you think you might want to build them... as long as you snap pics when you finish them, lol. cam.

yeah i know, 50 bucks and no throttle? lol. i might try selling here first, but i dont think i would be able to attract people looking for ancient model kits that you have to put on a shelf and leave them alone. anyways, ttyl, cam.
