Toyota truck body So has anyone found any Yota truck bodies, besides the tundra and FJ?? I know there are a bunch of people looking, for a 2nd generation truck/runner or even 3rd gen. trucks.. is there anyway to get Parma or someone to start making them? any idea on what it would take? if noone can make a decent Yota truck, i guess i'm stuck making tube chassis' :D |
Re: Toyota truck body I'd donate one of my testicles for a 1st gen 4Runner body. I'd maybe donate a finger or toe for a 2nd gen pickup body. :D I have a Tacoma body and a Land Cruiser 70 series Croc Hunter body, but they have about a 12" wheelbase. I've decided on making a tube frame ON TOP of my metal frame rail chassis, since I royally suck at making straight bends with brake line tubing. |

Re: Toyota truck body hmmm...maybe I'll buy another croc hunter body, chop the cab and make either an x-cab LC or a 4 door troopie! |
Re: Toyota truck body I'm using a Radioshack Enforcer body for my Pajero. http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/htt...9105_0_ALB.jpg |
Re: Toyota truck body |
Re: Toyota truck body I got that body too, but it's much too small for a large wheelbase rig. Look KILLER on your Pajero though. I'm saving it for my future TLT based rig. http://www.toyotaoffroad.net/afertig/temp/taco.jpg |
Re: Toyota truck body I wish SOMEONE would step up and make a Toyota truck body, preferably a 2nd generation, or even a 2nd gen. runner body. 1:10 or 1:8 scale, wouldn't matter to me,as long as it would fit with a WB from 15 to 18". I'm always keeping my eyes open for trucks in the toy dept. at stores to rape for their bodies but anymore they aren't making decent looking bodies for toys. |
Re: Toyota truck body Here's what I'm working on: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC04250.jpg I got the shell it's self for $5 and a repop grill for $20, that's about as cheap as it gets unless you get a really good deal on a complete one. BTW don't buy a repop grill unless you've seen close up pics of it, I've had to fill up a few areas where deep bubbles were formed, drill some holes and repair a tab because the plastic was to thin in an area  |
Re: Toyota truck body Towerhobbies says Pro-Line has discontinued the Land Cruiser body. Just when I was going to get one. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXGCZ0&P=7 |
Re: Toyota truck body ahhhh!...dude u didn't chop the top on that bruiser body did you?!?!...man...those are hard to find |
Re: Toyota truck body Nagh I didn't  I got it with the top ripped off like that, thought it would make a neat half tube project like what they do on the 1:1's. It was really rough and I've spent over an hour of just sanding and pealing stickers to get it to that point (just so I can chemical dip the rest of the paint off). |

Back in the day there was the 3rd Gen body...... http://home.hawaii.rr.com/nktrnl/pic...20046small.jpg And if you can find a old Kyosho 4Runner body it'd be a sweet body to use too... although most that I've come across have been pretty nasty looking or just cost too much. |

Re: Toyota truck body The croc hunter body can be purchased from RadioShack by calling 1-800-241-8742 and ordering part number 12343117 ($11.29) for the body and 12343125 ($2.49) for the bull bar (front bumper). |
