This is such bs. Food Network, or whoever fired her needs to realize where she's from, and more importantly, when. My aunt in Ky still says the N word. Also, I don't get why you hear a white person say the word and you're ready to raise hell, yet it's okay for Blacks to say it to every other black person...if they hate the word so much, don't use it yet get mad when whites do.

I haven't heard Whites, Asians, Mexicans and so on call themselves/friends racial slurs with a smile on their face.

I don't care for her. Her accent always seemed a bit over the top and fake to me (why do her sons sound so different?)...it always seemed like an act to me.

That being said, I think this is being blown a bit out of proportion. Digging up dirt from that long ago seems a bit extreme.

I do however condemn her for what she said, and honestly I don't feel bad for her...she's made more than enough money to retire comfortably even if she never gets another endorsement in her life.
