Back in need of more opinions, and where else to get them but here! I've got a 61 C-10 stepside that I am revamping. It already has 350/350 combo, posi rear, disks up front and new interior, but I'm thinking of showing it with my other toys. SO, it needs to stand out a bit more. I have already got a six door rig, but I like the looks of them, so it may go that way. Let me know which you like best, or think would fetch more tropheys! I know the pics are of a 66, but it's the only stepside I could find to work with... [/IMG] Here's the other alterative... [/IMG] |

i agree. 4-door is the way to go. not too rediculous but still definately an eye catcher. there is a '63 running around here that was done up in the 70's and is all chollo'ed out. pretty sweet ride i must say! good luck and let's see some pics when it's done. |

I drew some thing called a 64 Chevy Avalanche. But it looked better with a striaght bed. I had a 64 Chevy Truck with a 48 Impala Dash. Never did finish the project. I'll get home later and get something toegther in photoshop for ya. If anything might give you some ideas. I do it tomrrow night before work. Alright. I did this at work. All I have at work is Paint. So be easy. Where the bed and cab meet. all that would have to be molded togther. For the right look. I left a space there. Anyway here you go. I'll do a better one for ya. I'm not really a big fan of the Avalanche, looks pretty weird to me. I do like the idea of suicide doors, but at the same time I want it to look like a "factory" crew cab. Just something to make people say "Did they make those in 61?" I had planned on tubbing the bed, but being a step side it already has room for 14 inch wide slicks, so unless I decide to go prostreet it'll be plenty. The next dilemma is deciding between a prostreet scoop, or a cowl induction hood. Either way it'll have to clear a short tunnel ram and 2 450 Holleys, my single Edelbrock just ain't cutting it. Thanks for the responses everyone!

I like the 4 door one.But put in a large rear window and get rid of the stepside and go with a fleetside bed.The stepside looks out of proportion with the rest of the body, you need more sheet metal in the back to balance it all out.
