Another thing that I have found from owning/managing my own VBB forums is this area is viewable by anybody and that gives google an open door to find anything they deem unfit.

Had this area been viewable for only those logged in I am willing to bet it would have never been an issue since google cannot scour those areas for there search engine index.

Fact of the matter is it is against Googles TOS for those types of threads to exist here. Besides that fact I also think it's a good idea for them to be gone, due to the nature of this site we have a lot of children here.

Chit Chat will not be going away at all.

Here's an analogy.
This site is my business, my business is radio controlled rock crawling. While most people come in here to discuss crawling, I also enjoy when people come in and hang out shooting the crap about whatever is on their mind be it politics, religion, crawling, guns, or life in general. Although I may enjoy looking at pictures of women, I don't believe it is appropriate to have them hanging all over the walls of my business.
