I had a full beard, one day when I was trimming it the cat saw the wire moving and pounced on it. the trimmer went down then right back up to the skin. had to trim it to a goatee after that, I miss my beard.

Is it November already?

Ever see the Seth McFarland movie, million ways to die? Doogie Houser sings a great song about mustaches.

After a few years of waiting and tending bar (shaving every morning.) I gave up on shaving. I will hack down the scraggle with beard trimmers (not hairy enough for a real beard) once in a while.
I haven't shaved for years, and have no plan to.

im the same. i very rarely skim a blade across my face, i just take the guard off the clippers and knock 'em down.

I'm on a forum called "The Shave Den". Cool stuff. I love a classic shave. I don't always shave. But when I do, it's with style.

Getting / keeping it sharp is the real trick.

We had an old school barber in my small town till I was about 30 that if ya came in at the right time and asked nicely (and he knew you.) He would throw down the hot towel & straight razor shave.
I have yet to get a shave that good since.
It is a lost art for sure.
Just razzing ya!

My grandpa was a barber (and butcher), he had a pretty sweet collection of straight razors. I was too young to ever get a shave by the time he passed away... My dad has some of his equipment.
