Question airbrush ?...

I'm getting ready to airbrush my first body, but I've got a question. I've got an el cheapo compressor/airbrush kit, and pactra racing finish paint for lexan (it says). My question is, do I need to thin the paint any, or just use it "as is?" :?

you need it to be thin. like milk is the best way in my opinion. If it's airbruch paint probably not but you may have to thin it. Maybe BigRed could add his 2 cents.

Pactra paint does need to be thinned out before being airbrushed. Consistency of milk is what you're looking for. What kind of airbrush/comp. do you have?

I think it was that $50 unit from WMart, testor or something. It came with the compressor and brush and some cheap acrylics.

You should be fine then. I'm also using one of Testors' airbrushes and it works fine. Just make sure to clean it out really good after each color/use. The tips are especially vulnerable to clogging.

thanks rckjeep yes just like everbody is saying it has to be thinned its a cheap airbrush if you run un-hinnned paint it will wreck your airbrush you need 50% paint and 50% thinner and sence it is a cheap air brush i put on more drop of thinner also run your air brush at 20-22 psi and after your done crank it up to 30psi and spray just thinner through you air brush to clean it out i hope this helps and if you need anymore help i would be glad to. NOTE: even if you have a good airbrush you need to run the 50% and 50% combination.
