These are pics of RockRacer1's obstacles that he built. He asked me to post them for him...enjoy:

Thats it...if you have questions about these obstacles, I'm sure RockRacer1 would be more than happy to answer them!

That red 1 was the heavy bugger 70-80lbs , more concrete than foam also has red dye in it. the grey 1 is alot lighter 10-15lbs , used styrofoam and expandable foam with tile mesh. the concrete/mortar is thinner though, so I have to be careful when moving it (I dropped an end down hard and broke a chunk off) . so far Im into these obstacles 35 bucks each.
the pic of the grey 1 is while under construction (wire mesh exposed) after atempting it and getting rejected 150 times I added alitlle more mortar til it was possible to climb.

Ill be glad when spring rolls back around and I can build a course I dont have to be able to move. I put mine in the garage last night and have determined that it needs wheels

You guys should seriuosly consider the styrofoam beadliner method. I can lift and carry one of our 4' X 8' sections by myself.

I considered styro since I have used it with great success with trainsets however, In the spring I plan to build a large outdoor perm. track and wanted to test the chiken wire form method

Rockpiledriver....am I correct in thinking you lay 1 sheet down flat and then take another sheet, cut into pieces and attach at 90 degree angles to the flat piece? Then carve out what you want?

All of these look nice. I will start building mine in about 2 weeks, once I get my bonus. Hope to have enough built to have a comp on.

Thanks,
Casey
