| Scam phone calls
Anyone here been getting robo dialed from 323-209-2090 (or on my cell it showed up as +106 for the caller ID)? My wife's cell rang at 1AM last night with a pre-recorded message stating that her account has been locked and needed to press 1 to continue. She didn't, but getting woken up at 1AM really pissed us off. Now at 3:30PM today I got the same call on my cell phone. Geeze...

I've been getting those on my cell for a few weeks now, especially now that I've switched from Sprint to Verizon for a carrier. 9 time out of 10, I get them while at work, luckily they just hang right up, but when you have a parent with mobility issues and occasionally has spent time at the local hospital couple times a year for the last couple years, it's aggravating!

I have gotten a fjew comming out of Africa, ther problem is that i only take calles from 5 known telephone numbers. Allso my phone is allways off when i sleep, and i do not use voice mail and the like. So if ppl really need to get in contect with me they just have to call back later. Allso my phone isent really mine, that is i pay for it, but its not in my name. If the phone was in my name all sorts of assholes would start calling and texting me, allso if my number was hidden / secret as that do not apply to any level of goverment. Consider myself Lucky as i only get 1 - 2 calls a week, and i make about the same ammount of calls myself. I keep my friend close - my enemys - and my goverment. Now where did i put my tinfoil hat Last edited by Peaker; 05-03-2014 at 09:11 AM. |

I use to get all kinds of calls, credit card crap, internet crap, I phoned my provider for my home phone which is also my cell provider they gave me a web site to go to and submit my numbers and they will block the fraud calls. it has been way better now.

If I'm not too busy and get a random number, I'll take it and give as much conflicting information as possible. Me wasting their time is hopefully keeping them away from others. You're welcome.

| Re: Scam phone calls Same here. I once responded to a survey about all of the work suits I buy from Wal-Mart...the call was a good 30 mins or so. I neither wear suits to work nor shop at Wal-Mart...
