firstumustcrawl,

i hand made those fronts axles out of tubes, but the design is based on a real front axle, or are you talking about the ujoint?.. those u-joints are made out of Tamiya mini-4wd monster Truck steel axle shaft, where i curved a yoke on both side, so the whole axle shaft is a one piece steel rod!

1/35 ujoint besides my 1/87 6x6 front drive axle

I'm new here. Actually, I just registered but have been lurking for a little bit.

I have a Kyosho Mini-Z Overland that I'm looking at customizing into a 4WD crawler. I have a mod posted by someone else which turns the 2WD stock vehicle into a true 4WD, but it involves turning the entire front axle. I designed a system that would allow using steering knuckles to turn just the wheels, but need help in machining the u-joint adapters for it.

Is there anyone here that can help me out?

Thanks!

I'd try posting this up in a seperate thread, probably general crawlers would get the most attention.

Damn, the more I see these posts on "Micro-Crawlers" and TTTT's, the more it makes me want to ditch my other 4 projects and take a swing at one of these!

Nice work!

I think a very large part of why people try "Micoro-scale" projects is because they are so difficult, crawlerkid.

I know that's a large part of the appeal for me. Granted it's also part of what's keeping me away at the moment................LOL.

I remember seeing that over at Micro RC Center a year or two back. I still think it is pretty cool.
