Did you forward this to the Natty Ice people? They need to be warned of the imminent upcoming overtime hours

Almost 15 years of putting up with stupid shit, stupid people that can't make ends meet no matter what, repairing everything all the time, etc. I'm 39 and over it. I'm better than that. Enough of it.

This is my first step. And I have no idea what the second step is.

This hits home with me, and I remember watching it on TV when it first aired in 1996 and it has lingered ever since.

Best of luck to you Brah! It' stupid scary out there right now, I sincerely hope you find something that suits you. The savings go away quickly, ask me how I know. You are in a good position, as you mentioned, to do this. Now you can even consider moving out of state if an opportunity presents itself.

Good for you and good luck E.

Like was said find something you like and it wont be work. Since I started my new job over a year ago doing my passion, carpentry, I have been happier than I ever have. Ill be 32 this year and this last year has gone by faster than any other year of my life so far because of my 'work'.

Look forward to hearing what you end up doing!

Don't worry about the second step. You are in the rare and enviable position to not only take some time to figure out what makes you happy, but also the freedom to pursue it.

right now man you can do whatever the f you want. so take awhile to just chill and be free, and it'll come to ya.

i had soooo many people try (and succeed) on scaring me to death for quitting my job before not having another one lined up... i didnt really see an issue, since its hard to think about doing something new while you are doing something you hate, but i caved and started listening to everybody.
dont do that...

I dunno. Thinking minimizing my spending would make some sense. In all ways possible. Like, less driving and spending money on gas. Maybe thin the RC heard even. Maybe moving out in 11 months, so less to move is always smart. I really just don't know, and it feels good.

My parents met at Cleveland Art Institute. Supposedly I was a great artist as a kid, but then started doing more technical like drawings. Then Drafting class stuff, then I picked up a skateboard and stop caring.

Now sounds like the perfect time to pick up a CAD program and get back into that technical drawing that you used to like doing. You have the free time and could learn CAD and then buy a CNC router or 3d printer and put the drawing abilities to use making money.

Good luck man.

I gave notice at a pretty prestigious design firm a while ago with no job lined up. I just knew I couldn't work there anymore. Hated going to work.

I am now at my dream job (still designing), but making a difference on a local level. Much more fulfilling then designing when I was branding toys for rich kids (snowboards, bikes, xbox, shoes, sodas, etc).

It will work out.

Become a Deejay!
