Got a friend that pisses in the corner at the beginning and end of every job.

I guess what I'm trying to say is its never too late to piss in a corner.

Yeah I got another week to go because he asked me to stay. But in my mindset, today was the end of the two weeks. The two week countdown is over. I haven't done that in almost 15 years. I went from the ultimate sense of freedom while working, which is another name for a bike messenger as an independent contractor to this warehouse piece of shit job. Honestly it wasn't end of the world terrible but totally not who I am.

I'm anxious to see how I handle next week. Most people go to the, I don't give a **** mindset but I'm not that type, or so I think.

Good for you for sticking it out another week when they asked. Thatll be a plus when/if future employment goes looking at the past.

Besides LD being your first day off from this nightmare seems fitting to me.

Always leave on good terms
Even though you hate it now , you never know what is round the corner in life and if you have left on good terms , going back is an option if everything goes to shit
Not saying it will though

You could go back to this

Thanks RCC bro. It's not a nightmare really. But it's just finally time I came to grips with this is not who I am. It's not who I was before (quit a previous warehouse job after the first day), it's not who I was for the last 15 years, and it's not who I will ever be again, hopefully. HOPEFULLY I SAY!

Part of what kept my interest was repairing broken shit, and that was almost constantly. I took pleasure in that. Problem solving as to why something is not working and figuring out how to repair it. Be it machines, or the people or the business. I've learned more than I can remember and spent this last week trying to share some of all that with my right hand man, so to speak. I sensed he was way overwhelmed. Makes me smile. I'd like to be a fly on the wall and see how things unfold. But not really.

Keeping professional during this period is difficult, you have done well so far & I figure you will hold up.

I had a similar situation working room service at a four star hotel. I put my 2 weeks notice in on like December 10th or so, & the manager $hit bricks because (as is usual) I was the assistant mgr that did everything & she realized I was not going to be there on New Years morning (busiest am of room service all year.)

She got so vindictive she actually called the chef at the restaurant she heard I was going to and slandered me up big time (1 day after I put in my 2 weeks.)

Hotel manager was a wise man, I told him he should leash his bitch (yep used that exact phrase,)and make it good with my new boss or our next conversation would be in a conference room with lawyers.

He made good

One more week you can do on your head, then its just beer & racing!

I feel that I could put my work ethic up against the best in the world. That is one area I do not **** around in. Be proud of who you are and what you do and do it the best. Never late, almost never call off unless I'm covered in hives or my eyelid is gushing ooze, or I broke my ankle into six pieces.

Beer and racing? I wonder if I can make a living doing that. Sounds fun.

Ready for this one?

Eye orgasm!

My last week at my old job went by really quick. I had the mindset that it would be weird but it was fairly normal. The first few days of what would have been a new work week was sorta weird because of the get up and go to work routine was still in my system. Still the best decision ever!

I'll ban you back. Derp.

Good enough reason to call off work though, yeah? Still have a little lump up in there. Took months to kinda go away. Infected stye. Blamed the solvent at my job that I use to wash out printing plates when I make them. I caught a splash right around there. Petroleum based shit. It was ugly for months. Like a huge zit that constantly oozes... on your eyelid.

Wake up with my eyelid sealed shut from dried up ooze.

Blurry vision from ooze in my eye.

Doctor even went, whoa. And he was old as dirt.

It looked like you could have squeezed the whole eyelid like a big juicy zit.

Start cracking open a 40 oz. in the break room at lunch time, see if anyone cares.

Eyelid was plenty squeezed.
