| we got any gear hobbers on here?
If so who could hob or cast a set of STEEL mini lst gears ? There is a HUGE market for them also if you wanted to make some cash There are people screwing around with aluminum but I don't know why they would not just go with what is actualy needed. I can send you a set for measurement if needed Last edited by USMCDoc14; 11-23-2006 at 08:30 AM. |

Yeah that's the weak link on these things. Brushless with 3 cell lipo doesn't help either.

If someone could make a set that would last they would make alot of money. But since no one has done that yet, I have found a way to make them last longer. I have the Dual Disc Slipper, and Ball diff and my gears seem to last, and they are being pounded on by a Tekin Mini Rage 8000Kv system and 2 cell Lipo, they have also survived a couple runs with a 3 cell.

I have a 6.8 rage in it and just running Nimh in order to "save" them for a bit. my next upgrade will be some 3 cell LiPo's but not till I address all the weak driveline issues. I could "cast" them out of aluminum/bronze using a lost wax method but that is only a temp solution as it would be a decent amount of work to get a midway solution. | |

Yeah boiling helps a lot but you still have to be careful with those on power landings.
