I would love it if American truck sim came to console.

I have been thinking about it Cory. I'm just illiterate when it comes to computers.

I am the same way. I know/knew nothing. check out https://pcpartpicker.com/ you can piece together all components that are guaranteed to work together. they also have tons of premade parts lists for all budgets and performance.
I was able to create my parts list with no knowledge. if there was something I didn't know I just googled what it was. but mostly I just went with the bigger specs is better theme. they also show you how many of each part has sold. so you can get an idea of which parts are most popular.
Steve put the parts together for me. performance has been insane.

there are also plenty of premade gaming PCs out there too. but of course they cost way more than, parting it together yourself. my first iRacing PC was a $500 walmart computer. worked fine for iRacing because its so optimized and easy on graphics. but other modern games it just couldn't keep up with.

also if your not sure between a few components you like there are a ton of testing/comparing sites out there like http://www.tomshardware.com/ that compare and test parts and have reviews.

Ok thanks Cory, I will check it out. One more thing, steering wheels. Is there something better than your Logitech you would recommend. I assume most wheels can go from PC to console and back pretty easy. Cost really isn't a concern so don't be afraid to recommend higher end stuff. The last wheel I ever used was on the original PlayStation so I am kinda lost on those as well.

all 3 of us run Logitech G27s. they are the cheapest and most popular. (because of cost)

believe it or not most/a lot of wheels aren't PC and ONE compatible.

Top end wheels are made by Fanetec Fanatec North America

Thrustmaster makes a mid grade that is PC and ONE compatible. ive looked at it for awhile, but never pulled the trigger. i really like there optional shifter.

for your rig, you can clamp to a desk, or build a rig out of wood and a seat.
me and steve run Race Room Rigs https://www.raceroomstore.com/us/game-seat-rr3055.html
I think we caught them on sale for like 259 or 299 or something.

I like the Logitech wheel batter but I really like the thrustmaster shifters solid metal design. Both are compatible with xbone and PC. Still gotta look at the fanatec.

the thrustmaster shifter can be added to any wheel I believe. its a USB peripheral. I thought about doing that.

never heard of the G27 being console compatible (without moding) but who knows, ive never looked into it either.

Yeah it is compatible but you need more hardware that I didn't realize. You need a chronosmax and a wireless PC gaming receiver.

The thrustmaster shifter is compatible with the G27, on PC only.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how are all these people reliably playing multiplayer with these mods?

And yeah, that dude is really annoying.
