did the nixim brake spring mod. ordered from UK and first one got lost for 6 weeks, so they had to send a 2nd one.

got the pedal set tore down and installing. you can see the difference in the stock silver spring, and the nixim beefy progressive brake spring with the rubber bump stop.

while i was in there i also came up with a gas/throttle spring mod. i always wanted more feel on the gas petal for like 10% throttle ie more pressure and feedback. so i made a 1/4" spacer out of two coils of 14g speaker wire (it was handy and quick)
been testing it for about a month and i love the added feel.

found out the hard way DONT try to run over the red apex curbs at Laguna Seca. did this twice in one race  quite a ride.

got my B class licence!
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psea317d89.jpg

also picked up the RUF Porsche and some tracks for the GT3 races to get the 20% discount

Is the spring mod a very noticable mod? Progressive spring right?

IM also on Iracing but am a oval guy

Re: PC Sim Racing

definatly. but it would be pretty useless for oval. athough it is stiffer too so probly would give you more feel for the "just breath on it" braking. but really helps in RR where you need to memorize threshold braking position.

Thank you, thank you! It's a bit lower now after last night's GT3 race at Daytona, but it was worth it. So much fun! I'm really stoked about running the Spec Racer Fords at Road Atlanta this week. Unfortunately, I won't be home to race 'til Wednesday. Bah!

Thanks, Cory. Unfortunately, that's how I understand it. In my case my best lap was a 1:49.9 and my lap time said I was about half a second better. Crossed the line and saw a 1:50.0 lap. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. :(

No doubt! FYI, I talked to Jason about a team endurance race. Maybe we can put something together for a 4 or 6 hour race sometime soon? I think it'd be a lot of fun!

STANG KILLA SS 02-06-2015 04:49 PM

Re: PC Sim Racing

yeah. even if its not team, just the 4 of us endurance racing each other. (open to public?)
or maybe a 2 hour race of each. team & also individual

that reminds me, I need to learn how to host a race...

Mercy!!

So Cory, Steve, and I are looking into doing some iRacing endurance racing, primarily the 75 minute GT3 races. Anyone else interested in joining us? :)

Season 7 of the RaceDepartment Rally Championship will get underway with the Jänner Rally beginning on March 1st 2015.

Using Rallyesim's impressive RSRBR mod for Richard Burns Rally, the RDRC began its inaugural season in 2010. Since then, the RDRC has crowned four seperate RDRC champions, including two double champions. Throughout this time, the RDRC has undergone changes updating itself to the latest rally machinery available.

The RDRC is an all-inclusive championship, featuring three different time-zone sessions and ran on three days, allowing competitors from all corners of the globe to fight for the RDRC Title. Because the RDRC is hosted on Rallyesim servers, you do not need premium membership to race in the RDRC.

For new-comers to the league the RDRC-2 class is available. Featuring the latest technology in the turbo-charged R5 spec cars. As well, the RDRC-2 features the naturally aspirated S2000 cars, the production based R4 spec cars, and for the fans of the old school the A8 class featuring WRC cars from the 90s, with a Group A cup for the highest placed A8 car.

Those who think they have what it takes to perform at the top level can request a grading event to earn a Professional license, making them eligible to drive the WRC cars – featuring the Citroën DS3, the Ford Fiesta RS, and the VW Polo R.

The calender for the RDRC Season 7 consists of six rounds.
