an obvious sign your getting too old for that sport.

Ha ha, yeah, yeah. In my experience there's a direct correlation between risk and reward when it comes to hobbies. I could sit on the porch and watch grass grow, that's likely pretty safe, but it probably isn't very exciting.

Stay off that bicycle. They're dangerous. Stick to motorized two wheels! "mrgreen"

That looks like it hurts. Falling hurts way more as you get older.

Holy smokes, man! Get better soon! BTDT and have the scars to impress the chicks. ;)

I've been under the weather so while I've made some progress in the "remodel" of the hobby room, it's not quite there yet. I'm heading on vacation later this week and will be very busy so it'll likely be at least another week 'til I can run laps. Hopefully I can race with y'all again soon....

I struggled like hell last night at Road Atlanta. My VRS setup was so darn loose. Hopefully the track conditions are better tonight.

Road Atlanta is tough enough as is. Are they forcing the VRS setups as the fixed setup? I generally don't care for the fixed setups they choose.

You can use any setup, but I'm not a setup guy at all. I try to find a good setup and make slight changes to suit me. At Laguna Seca the VRS tune was awesome. At Road Atlanta it's way too lose for my liking with last night's weather. In practice days before that it was loose, but controllable.

I just don't know enough about setup to know how changes affect handling.

I knew a little thanks for Forza before joining the group, and all out sim racing. The guys helped me a lot in the beginning, and still will when I can't figure something out. That's when we turned laps a few nights a week though. Perhaps we can get back to that this winter? You need to get a mic so you can get on Discord and chat.

i was the same, the track and VRS tune were very loose. Steve mentioned the same in the GT3 car too.
i tightened the tune up for more stability. cost me .2 to .4 per lap, but WAAAAY safer and stable.

What's the quickest way(s) to tighten up the car?

Softer in the rear, stiffer in the front.

lots of ways. you need to know when the car is getting loose.

on power, off power, loaded/unloaded, high speed/low speed, braking, etc

also always work on the end of the car that needs the help. dont go changing both front and rear if only 1 end has a problem.

for loose (rear)
you can try more rear wing, more rear rebound(off throttle loose), less rear compression(on throttle loose), less rear ride height(entry/chicane/side weight transfer loose), less rear brake bias, more TC, less rear sway bar(steady state loose), less rear spring, diff, etc.

when it comes to springs vs shocks:
adjust springs to set the amount of weight transfer you want (also overall stiffness/responsiveness vs compliance/grip)
adjust shocks to set the speed at which said weight transfers.

but id leave the VRS springs alone.

Turned a few laps tonight, still not ready for any long races, but 28th in the world at the ring in Pcars2.

Default loose setup, no assists.

I believe this is what I had on XBox 360. It sucked!

For as great as McGrath was on a motorcycle, his video games sucked. That can be said for all of them in my experience.

I haven't had much time to drive on Sebring. It's a very boring track IMO. And at night it's really tough to see the apexes before you get right up on them.

I'm on the road for work both today and tomorrow, so I doubt I make it this week either. If memory serves, I hate Sebring also.
