Same here. Belle Isle has a very distinct Forza feel ATM in iRacing. LOL

Thats a mod right? Is anyone playing Wreckfest? I've really been enjoying it so far, its great mindless fun but has some decent physics to go with it, its basically a demolition derby/ dirty racing title. It was in early access for a long time under the name Next Car Game. I'm not sure I can justify the new game price, it was a lot cheaper in early access but hopefully it comes back down in time. https://store.steampowered.com/app/228380/Wreckfest/ |

I played it in early access also, and it was full of bugs. I'd still buy it, at a reduced price though. I've heard the FFB is every pretty decent, and they're considering adding VR support.

If you got the early access game you should have the full release thats how I got it, its just under a different name. Oh and that track Kehala Ring looks amazing and all I've seen is one corner. I'm a sucker for wild and dangerous tracks. another angle After watching again I can see its an extremely hard corner to connect. Almost everyone bailed or ran out of wheelspeed at the bottom of the hill. Last edited by HumboldtEF; 06-27-2018 at 06:52 PM. | |

I had played early access Wreckfest for a laugh quite often, but had nearly forgotten about it until someone on the forum here mentioned it - busted it out again and the changes have made it MILES better... It's a really fun game now. So many comments had just ripped the people behind it for so long, it's amazing that they finally got it to where it stands now. That said, the new Forza Horizon is what I'm really stoked for - it comes out right around the time for it to be the perfect B-Day present to myself... it is simply the right type of driving game for my temperament, very relaxing. One thing I do all the time in Horizon 3 that I don't know if anyone else does - I get in the Byron Bay neighborhood and become a total hooligan by trying to string together a endless combo of points by destroying mailboxes and trash cans while missing everything else... It's juvenile, I know - but at my age, when do I really get a chance to act out like this elsewhere? |

| Re: PC Sim Racing I refunded it on Steam due to all the issues it had. I'd pick it up at $25 or so, but not full price.

Looks like The Crew 2 got released, and did not get great reviews. Really this is the only line you need to know from the review; The Crew 2 is not a great driving game https://www.pcgamer.com/the-crew-2-review/ |

I just browsed through the review for laughs, I noticed that as of now there is no multiplayer with strangers, one can only race with their "Crew". They lost me at "Rubber banding" Sounds like a winner When will these terrible arcade/casual racing games go away? |

I'm getting back into dirt oval. I know that's something you guys loathe, but it's something I love. The first two races I got a 5th in 305 Sprints and then 3rd in 360 Sprints so I was feeling really good. Then over the holiday I raced another 305 and 360 race. This time I was thrown in a stacked field of guys that are as high as Division 1 (I'm in Division 5) so I struggled. I qualified well in the 305s and then hit the wall on the first or second lap when I was pushing it a little too much. That burned because I should have had a top 3 in that race. And then in the 360s I was put in another stacked field and I got tangled in a crash in my heat when I had nowhere to go. That relegated me to the LCQ and some dick, who doesn't know how to hold a line, cut in front of me when I was about to pass him and I had to pretty much stop to avoid taking him and myself out. So there wasn't enough time left in that race to catch back up so I failed to make the main. The cool thing though is that I live less than a mile from Grandview Speedway, which is a dirt oval, and some of the NASCAR guys (Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson and Kasey Kahne) were there racing 410 sprints. So I had that thunder in the background while pretending to race on dirt. I've also been drifting a fair amount. That doesn't mean I'm getting better though. I can hold one, long drift with the best of them, but I suck at linking corners. |
