You must not be getting all the rain we are down here. :flipoff:

Still not a bad price. Does that one fold flat?

We've been getting more than our share of rain unfortunately.

the seat back does fold forward like a car. same pull lever and all.
but that leaves it still as tall as the wheel.

i dont have a big need to fold it up under my bed like 90s exercise equipment.

I'll be very curious if the PC version gets dumbed down as well as clipped graphically since it's coming to Xbox now. I will say flight sims in VR are facking amazing, and quite a few of them have full VR support.

i remember MFS back in like win 95/98 days. didnt even know they still made it.
the bush planes look fun. some amazing locations to visit it looked like that would be cool. back in the day it was just generic grass and a runway. and large pixels. :D

Re: PC Sim Racing

I played a lot of it back then also! Yeah, it was pretty much just pixels other than your cockpit LOL. I have a pretty decent flight yoke/throttle setup, just never spend any time in flight sim mode these days.

It's a good question, but with the XBox being a PC and with it sharing games with Windows 10 it may not. I'm thinking of a graphics slider where MS just turns it down for the XBox and then cranks it up for Windows 10.

I'm gonna say it again Tommy, cheap racing seats are shit. I hate the one that I have, but maybe you'll have better luck than me. I also love ATS, but rather than buy one of those expensive shifters, I made my own mod for the TH8A for my HI/LO and splitter, and simply map my jake brake to a button on my wheel. Doesn't look as cool, but it was about $75 cheaper though. There are some cleaner looking versions on ebay, and you can look on thingverse and 3D print your housing and wire up your own like I did. All you need is a USB joystick controller that's like $10 on Amazon, a housing of some sort and a way to mount it, some toggle switches, and some soldering skills.

That's way cool, Randy! Nicely done. I'm just not wanting to spend the time/effort on such a project at the moment so I just ordered the shifter from ebay. Looks like it's shipping out today from your neck of the woods.....one of those Carolinas or something. LOL :)

I've never tried multiplayer on ATS. Wanna give it a go sometime? I'm thinking that nifty shifter will also come in handy for Spin Tires.....diff lock, 4/2WD, etc. Can't wait to get it.

Regarding seats, I've got a free seat from my g/f's son's old Playstation rig. It's reasonably comfortable so if it fits I'll try it first. I'm with you about having a comfortable seat, but remember I'm coming from a pretty cheap office chair. Simply not being able to swivel in the driver's seat will be a step up! LOL!! But for about $100 I'd be willing to try one of these cheapies. If it sucks I'll definitely pony up for something nicer or, preferably a stock seat from a real car because I really don't care about side bolstering, etc.....not for a sim rig anyway!

Congrats! How much was just the GT1 shipped to your door?

It's crazy to think nobody in the US can offer a similar setup.

Yeah, I was hoping to go with 4 Play Racing since they're only 3 hours from my house, but they were $600 shipped and didn't come with any mounting plates for the wheel or pedals. Looks like without the extras I got, the GT1 would be about $560 shipped, but it includes steel mounting plates for the wheel and pedals. This way I won't have to clamp anything. I can screw it down and it'll be super stable.

dang $600 and no seat!? SO glad me and steve got a crazy deal on our rigs. $250 if i recal. with seat and wheel mount.

so pumped for you bro! also, thats NOT a fanatec handbrake....

Thanks! And I fixed the pic of the handbrake. :)

It is a lot of money, but using 80/20 it gives me the option to infinitely adjust things and to add stuff very easily in the future. Hobbies have come in and out of my life, but 3 have always and likely will always be around for nearly my entire life: RC (since '80 or so), sim racing (since '89), and real cars/trucks (since the early '90s). So anything I spend for those three I look at more as an investment. I mean.....at least that's how I justify it! LOL :ror:

great news on handbrake, i was just wanted to make sure you didnt get confused or ripped off.

text steve. he bought a pair of focus seats to put on his rig. may still have the other. he may also still have the origonal seat too (not comfortable)
worth a shot.

Thanks! Yeah, the pic was just a brain fade on my part. :)

I remember talking with Steve about the seat and I'm 99% sure he already sold it. I'll check craigslist, though!

@Tommy - Yeah man, I'm down for some online ATS at some point. Not really sure how it works or what it does, but we can check it out.

@Cory - LMAO!! Not sure I could rock the bow tie as good as that dude though.

There were those very fuzzy channels where you could almost see something you weren't supposed to see, but that may have been cable. LOL

Studio 397 has released their version of LeMans for Rfactor 2. Laser scanned, full day/night cycles, and weather put this one above iRacing since it lacks weather. It's a paid track, but I'll likely snag it since I really love the FFB and AI in RF2.

I also bought the C7R, so I'll let you know how it compares to others Cory.
