I thought this was a pretty awesome story. A die hard Def Leppard fan from the start, I'd never heard Rick Allen's inspirational story of losing his arm and coming back as the band's drummer. |

| Re: Do we have an "Awesome" thread yet? I learned of that story about the time "Pour Some Sugar on Me" was gaining popularity on the radio. My uncle was a passenger in a truck and it rolled over while his boss was driving him to a job site. As the truck was flipping his arm flew out the hole where the back window had shattered and it just about got cut off from the sheet metal edges that were left behind. Thankfully my uncle didn't lose his arm and gained back a lot of mobility over the years, but it was sort of an inspirational story for our family at the time.

I never knew they tried to reattach Rick's arm...but then I guess he didn't until later either.

I'd like to live in a town that was designed for golf carts! I'd actually prefer ATVs (quads), but golf carts are a fun start. https://jalopnik.com/theres-an-entir...f-c-1830991449 |

My future home. I hope to be living there within the next 2-3 years. Hopefully transfer with my job as we have a shop in Atlanta. Done with California and also my Brother in law and wife moved there 2 years ago. They bought a house on a gated golf course community. Every house in their gated area has to be no less than 3000 SQ ft. house on no less of 1 acre of land. They the house as a fixer upper 2 years ago for $380,000. Its weird as there is golf cart parking spots up front at all the stores. You drive the same parking lots as cars. Its really hard to explain how it all works. I went there last year to visit and took the golf carts everywhere. Whats funny is that its faster to get where you're going in a car but yet everyone still uses the golf carts. Most of the carts are electric versions. And you can legally drive them at age 15. That's why the high schools have so many. They is even a golf cart tow truck that can go on the paths if your cart breaks down. I think there is 110 miles of golf cart paths between 2 cities, Peachtree city and Fayetteville. They are looking to expand it into Tyrone now. I typed before watching the whole video. Video explains most of it. Last edited by 59sled; 12-13-2018 at 03:07 PM.

There are quite a few communities that are passing ordinances allowing golf carts on public roads. My village, Streamwood, passed a similar ordinance a couple years ago, with the stipulation that the golf carts have working lights front and rear, brake lights, and turn signals, and that they can only be driven on the sidestreets. They can cross the main roads, (state & county), but not permitted on roads where the speed limit is greater than 25mph. There's a Dell Webb community in Huntley, IL, that prefer their residents use golf carts to get around. A friend of mine moved down to the Florida Keys, and he says that while folks still use their cars, most prefer the use of golf carts. |

This makes me want to go for a road trip with my Turner. I have been riding my fatbike on snow for the past several weeks. |
