Would fun factor go up if you added some nitrous oxide to the barrels. ? So instead of oxygen and acetylene you have acetylene & nitrous oxide. Been thinking on this in regard to some mind exercises involving semi auto gulf ball cannon. Here ( too i assume ) it is popular to blow up ATM machines, and some times a bit more, using oxy / acetylene. Last edited by Peaker; 01-02-2017 at 06:16 PM. |

| Re: Do we have an "Awesome" thread yet? According to local lore it all started many moons ago when sex was safe and motorcycles were not in a small fisherman's town called ''Brunnepe'' just outside of the citywalls of ''Kampen''. For years and years the people of Brunnepe were forced to watch the fancy Chinese fireworks of their posh neighbours and one day they just said; ''no more!'' After an eight hour town meeting 't was decided that from now on they would buy every milk can they could get their hands on and teach their ''glittery'' neighbours a lesson. It's been like that eversince. |

Fantastic. Often times the stories are as good as the acts.

That's not far off from the Street Cannons we use to make back in the 60's and 70's, back when beer cans use to be made of steel instead of aluminum. We'd take 5 cans and cut the tops and bottoms out of them retaining the metal rings, then duct tape them end to end. On the 6th can, tape the end with the pop top, or if the cans were really old, the end with the church key punctures. Then puncture a little hole, maybe an 1/8 inch, down near the bottom of the 6th can, add a little lighter fluid, swirl around a bit to create some gas, hold tightly, and put a flame to the little hole, and BANG!. Use to be able to shoot a tennis ball across the street. After a while we got creative and would make the cannon out of 1lb coffee cans. I think I might still have 1 out in the garage, I'll have to look for it Last edited by Mike Flea; 01-03-2017 at 07:15 PM. |

We did sort of the same but with pipes with a id the size of a tennis ball, and then we made hydrogen by putting zinc in hydrochloric acid. But this was the kid stuff, when some of the older boys turned 16 and got a copy of "the black book" V 1-2 & 3, we moved on to much more lethal stuff. So i think i might own a big thanks to the US goobmernent for in today's terms and measures making me into a terrorist back then. Not that we blew anything but nature up, but what we played around with back then would make that Maryland Bunker light up like a X-mas tree today And back then it was just kids being kids. |

The jump at Caldwell is also awesome! Amazing video! Still one of the best looking MX bikes of all time. I have the die-cast at home. I believe it's 1/6th scale. I had high hopes for Roczen this season. Everybody knows red is the fastest color. It's a shame his season was ruined. | |
