Default Found a great graphic for Universals vs CVDs

This is what Universals do. They create a sinusoidal speed output.


CVDs fix this and give a 1:1 output at any angle.

I believe a universal moves in more of an elliptical pattern, rather than a sinus wave but that's kinda splitting hairs. I do like that gif animation and I had seen the video posted below. Makes it easy to understand for anyone. Holmes Hobbies sells in phase lockers to help with this, if one so inclines.
