Any WRX with an aftermarket turboback exhaust and tune to support that - instantly in SM (Street Modified). There is rarely if ever an SM class for street tires at even the National level let alone locals. The National Champ in 2014 ran with us once, 2013 GTR with 800hp on Hoosiers. We had no chance to even come close, it was fun but it was a one time thing. If that was local to him, it'd be far less exciting to be in that class. | |

carnage pics pan ![]() rods wanted out! ![]() Damage was worse than we thought. #5 and 6 completely disintegrated. Forged rods, forged pistons, cylinder walls/block, crank, bearings, valves, everything. Shrapnel got 3 and 4 too ![]() whats left of #5 ![]() top and right you can see the valve strikes. bottom left you can see where the piston hit the bowl of the head. and the piston spun nearly 180* ![]() you can see the hole in the block at the top. and all the carnage below. unbelievable. ![]() |

Damn, I'm shocked that you only had that one little hole in the block and not a big bay window!

Nice car. Sucks about the motor though. My friend is selling his car if you need another. 408 stroker=520 NA at the wheels. ![]() |

Did you ever get it completely torn apart? Curious if the valve strikes bent any valves.

wow nice find!!!! I was trying to go to every event until they close for that very reason. only thing is that bluebonnet track thing has been a pipe dream for a long time. I hope this is more serious. thanks for posting! at least theres some hope. however being in the housing industry, I highly doubt the land is worth more as a track than house lots. ie I doubt bluebonnet could outbid a housing developer.

Just read this whole thread. Nice progression both in your driving and the car. Really sorry about your mill. That just blows. Lucky you didn't blow a huge hole in the block and dump oil everywhere. Do you run an engine diaper or trans blanket? I also run the hancooks on the street. Good tire for the price. Good luck getting it all back together and back to the track. |
