Yup dj jism that is the perfect meme for that one.

One time years ago I wanted a new cd. I was pretty hammered and wally world was the only place open at that time of night. I dropped a couple hundred on cd's, opened them all and put them in my binder. Then found out wally world didn't sell uncensored cd's...

I felt really smart for that one.

Over the last few years I have been listing to streaming radio (rdio)

It's great because I always knew that there was good NEW music out there- but if you hate top ten crap how do you find it?

Now I have a dozen new bands I follow - but if I stop paying the monthly fee it all is gone forever- even though by now I've spend hundreds- I own nothing.

Amazon prime is pretty cool too.

Who else (as a young teen) took advantage of the BMG Direct deals where you could buy CD's for $0.13 each?

BMG

Nice, I've been buying a few every month all the old bands and stuff that I have on albums but want CD for playing in the car. The quoted ones are the ones that I like.

I bought

Rush 2112 and Exit Stage Left (double album)

Scorpions Love Drive

Beatles Red Album (another double)

Taking Heads Best of

etc....

Just watched Jimi Hendrix, "Hear My Train A Comin" on Netflix streaming the other night, very interesting and good documentary

Good to see License to Ill still getting some play.

Many long debates over the "best" Beastie Boys and I always contend the middle school edge of Ill has a youthful angst that will always be related to.

Agreed.

You can't go wrong with a song that refers to diddling the the sheriffs daughter with a whiffle ball bat.

I'm always finding interesting things on YouTube, when I still had the Sirius subscription going in my car, there would be interesting stuff to pop up on there too, from time to time.

If I had to pick 1 Beastie Boys song as a #1 it would have to be Sabotage.

Paul Revere is one that people just can't stop with one line, it always turns into a rap-a-long..

Oh yeah and I guess the thread subject is valid.

The last CD I bought was Metallica's Death Magnetic in 08'

Damn that was 7 years ago, life moves pretty fast.
