Man I want one of these trucks! Also. Could the mod that shut down the other Syclone thread tell me why? I'm just wondering.

Nope, you had it right the first time. The Syclone was a GMC Sanoma, same as S10, with AWD and a turbo 4.3. The Typhoon was a 2door SUV, same thing as a S-Blazer. The Syclones and Typhoons share many components with 4wd s-series, such as suspension design and drivetrain configuration. The AWD trandfer case used in the Sy/ty is the same as in the oldsmobile Bravada and AWD minivands, Astro and Safari.

Oh, well that's just what my dad told me, but they are very wide. You have to see one in percon if you haven't

Because I've yet to see a Sylcone that hasn't been modified in some way, and they are very fast with little mods.

boost is the key to why they are so fast... those turbos were the perfect size for that motor.... it seems like all of gm's turbo 6's are sleepers, i remember a little car called the gnx that kicked a whole bunch of muscle car ***.

my friend has 2 cyclones... very highly modded and very very fast.

It would be a good race. Back when I lived in CT my buddy had a Typhoon and a Chevelle SS 454, the typhoon would get him off the line but the 454 would walk past him at about the 1/8 mark and pull 3 lenghts. The typhoon was stock and the SS had just exhaust system, stock motor.

Good race, I doubt that the blazer would even hang, Power to weight ratio. I'm sure the blazer weighs 1000 or more pounds than that little S10
And the reason he cought up with him in the 454 chevelle is that at higher speeds 4wd slows you down. That's how one of my aquaintances spanks Scoobies and Evos with his Fwd car power to weight ratio and only one end propells the car

Actually.. its an S-10 based pickup running a twin turbo'd 4.3 litre v6 with @ 280 hp... all wheel drive automatic tranny that will snap your neck shifting from 1st to 2nd.

For those of you still learning.. the 4.3 is basicaly a 350 v8 with the front 2 pistons lob'd off. this motor is otherwise known as the little 350.

as of 2000, the Syclone and the Typhoon were the fastest mass produced trucks on the road to date... off the assembly line.
