Traxxas is a joke now

Traxxas just said that they are no longer allowing tower hobby coupons on their rcs that's so dumb and of course they say it after the release a new truck but guess I'll just stick with my axial products

It's a movement to help local shops.

Remember Tower is owned by Great Planes/Hobbico who is one of 2 very large distributors. There is no store front. They don't have the same costs and issues of a store front.

I could see many doing this and this is something Horizon has never done to help their local stores selling their items they could easily do a Tower type store front.

Can't race or crawl online, and as good as shipping is I personally still like to use my local shops when I can.

Re: Traxxas is a joke now

Even with coupons my LHS and most other retailers have better pricing than tower. Traxxas is pretty much helping themselves here as retailer coupons cost companies money in the grand scheme it isn't much but apparently its enough traxxas doesn't want to do it anymore. Fortunately a side effect of this is Locals and smaller retailers can compete better pricing wise and since they have actual people and stores much better customer service and no waiting for the Ups truck

You're lucky. My lhs is always higher priced.

I am very lucky with my LHS they have superior customer service, better pricing and the ability to get pretty much any off the wall thing I want. Also if tower was cheaper they would price match

Where/when did Traxxas say this, I've searched and can't find anything, maybe I missed it somewhere.

My LHS cant even get axial stuff so I dont shop there. Apparently they arent open enough for axial to supply them.

Not even sure this is worth a meh on my part. Buy a star here to support the site and watch the classifieds and you'll save way more money than any coupon from tower and you'll get upgraded parts too.

Suckers and fan boys buy new. Smart people watch the classifieds.

Even with an employee discount Tower is cheaper than my lhs.

There was a long and detailed post about this over there in the forums but the forum nazis got but hurt and deleted it.

I wish I had a real LHS to support. We've got a hobbytown that is pathetic. All pinewood derby cars and stuffed animals, hardly any RC.

Usually the first people who scream I won't buy their stuff again are the first in line buying it again. Either buy it or don't, but they're a business like any other who is in it to make a profit. Get over it.
