Since y’all are so smart.

I’ve got a 20” 1-10 .308w. What would be good numbers to look for as for weight and speed?

I'm not really that smart, I'm just really good at Googling shit. Weight and speed aren't super critical, it's more about accuracy. The Federal Gold Medal match 168gr and 178gr, as well as Hornady's ELD-M series, and Black Hllls ammo in any of their match weights. I'd buy some of each of the popular match stuff 165gr - 178gr and see what your barrel likes best. That is, if you're looking for all-out accuracy. If you're after hunting ammo, then you want a completely different round. You want enough weight to transfer maximum FT LBS of energy at the max distance you plan to hunt at, while still maintaining utmost accuracy. In general though, match ammo and hunting ammo will usually be two different things. Some folks get lucky and find a unicorn gun that will shoot cheaper hunting ammo damn near as good as match ammo though.

I’d like to find something out to 800-1000 yards on paper. And something to knock meat down at 2-300 yards.

175gr and up for that for sure. Federal makes the Gold Medal Match in 178gr, Hornady makes a 178gr ELD round, and Black hills has multiple rounds from 175 on up.

I haven't hunted in ages, so I'm not current on hunting ammo. Best bet would be to Google it, or post up in the gun and knife forum. I know we have some hunters in there.

Thanks. I’ve got some short range meat ammo. The woods are so thick locally most everyone has some sort of short barrel / carbine type rifle. Hard to swing a long one in the brush. I got a .44m lever for the thick stuff. Occasionally I’ll get an open field or high wire set.

Parts for my Class 1 re-build came in. I'm hoping to get a build thread up soon!

Also picked up some Powershift lights for my VS4-10 Origin & Pro.

Hard body color, takes a couple of cans to paint one. I really like the paint bottles for air brush, spray can for larger coverage

Decant those cans and use an airbrush, you will get so much more coverage. Decanting Tamiya is common with the styrene builders.
I also add my pearl into the clear.

A custom upper receiver for my MK IV. I've wanted this setup since seeing the movie Assasins in 1995.

MaddMacs Precision Tactical XBAR SR (suppressor ready) upper

^^ It'll never get ran without the can on there. Purely a suppressor host, and awesome plinker/range toy. The MK IV is a money pit, but damn I love that thing to bits. I don't think I even shot anything else the first month or so I had it.

Sometimes you just want something different.......
I think this hardbody qualifies.
Paint? Almost half the rack, The 3D printer coughed up a couple of parts for the MFC.
Still waiting for the MFC to arrive from Japan, the MFC is the ESC, sound, lights , and vibrations all from Tamiya.
A 45t motor was sourced for realistic speeds with the 3speed transmission. and last but not least, need some Bling, So X Speed supplied the alloy wheels .

Waiting on the MFC and my team KNK screws....... Gonna be a loooooong build!
Couple of tower pro mg servos
Love these wheels!
