Now where's that ban button? :flipoff:

I really don't remember the Wrangler, or any Jeep for that matter, going hyrid. ****, my memory is worse than I remembered...

This system was introduced with 2018 JL Wranglers.

The Jeep E-torque system is a mild hybrid where the gasoline engine is given a torque boost by the motor/generator. The torque boost happens during the 1st rotation of the tires when starting; starting the engine when the stop/start system stopped the engine; and when downshifting.

When coasting, braking and up shifting the motor / generator charges the battery. This provides really good take off torque (even off road) and really smooth shifts.

Way too complicated in someways. Be nice if they could build the CJ5 again.

This video does a high level overview of the system

I'll checkout the video. Thanks. Just more watering down of the Jeep brand while overcomplicating it IMO.

I have been thinking about getting a new basher and today I get a call from my buddy at the hobby shop who says “want an Outcast for (insert great deal)?”

Cool. Have you done a double backflip yet?

Those short wheelbase trucks with big ol tires love to backflip.

I haven't done anything except open the box so far.

Need to at least solder some new connectors on my big batteries and probably swap to one of my good radios before really driving. Then I can work on double backflips, front flips, and all that fun stuff.

Nice! Arrma makes the coolest looking stock MT bodies IMO. And these trucks look like a blast. I'm just not keen on running two batteries at once or investing in 4S+.

Yeah, going past 3S can be a big swing in cost but I have a few 4S packs from the days when I thought I had time to race 1/8 e-buggy. The only way I would run 2 packs is if I bought 2 new ones specifically for running together which may or may not be cheaper than buying 1 big ass battery.

On a slightly smaller scale, the brushless Arrma Granite 4x4 is a hoot on 3S. I watched it survive being launched off a 4 ft ramp by a 10 year old for like an hour straight before cracking an A-arm.

Very cool. I almost went with the Arrma Granite 4x4 for my nephew, but in the end I chose the Traxxas Stampede 4x4 for various reasons. He hasn't broken it yet and we've both been impressed with the performance. The LHS surprisingly has some Arrma's in stock and the Granite 4x4 was one of them. It was on sale on BF and I almost picked it up for myself, but I showed a rare case of restraint. :lmao:

nice! That's the stock that I've got spec'd out for my "good" build that I've been working on for.... a long time. Aside from the receiver and trigger, I haven't actually bought any of the parts for it.

I bought one for my M4E1 SPR build to try it while it was on sale because everyone raves about them. I loved it so much that this one is going on my M5E1 so that both rifles feel the same. "thumbsup"

With this coronavirus crap slowly shutting down the entire U.S., what better way to enjoy some (unfortunately, unpaid) time off than adding another rig to the collection. Even better, since I'm visiting family in Las Vegas...was originally coming for Scale Nationals, but decided to come anyway...what better location that to test out the new rig.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f43d8d26d8.jpg
If you're even in the Vegas area, be sure to stop by Friendly Hobbies (two locations: Las Vegas, and Henderson)...they truly ARE friendly. Beat of all, even with businesses being closed, they've remained open (albeit, ONLY for "in-store" pickup, & shipping). Thanks, guys, for being open, and for having a Baja Rey in stock.

This car started out looking at a Jeep truck. The more I learned the further away my feet took me. Biggest thing that engine shut down at a stop light deal ......... yeah I know there is an override button, so what:flipoff:

Mustangs been watching for a while. Got interested about 5 years ago, the design refinements took a serious turn for the better. Special ordered in Nov, side note: Ford in the only American car manufacture that has a menu of performance specif packages, you can itemize and purchase.

The running mustang shows up, door closed, when door handle is grabbed.. slick

Check out the front tires the skinny pair "Z" rated

Two of my "dream cars" are Mustangs - a '71 Mach 1 (preferably w/ 427 Super CJ), and a '68 (my "birth-year" car).

My latest RC purchase, just before the Bay Area was shut down because of the virus. Lucky for me our local RC shop has a call in for parts and curb side delivery thing going on, and then there is RPP...I think they are still taking orders. This is my third attempt at a RC4WD truck, the first two where built and sold pretty quickly I really didn't give them much of a chance to prove themselves compared to my current trucks. I have promised myself to really try and get this one working well and understand it is a different beast than a Axial/ Ascender type truck. I have a lot to learn about these rigs.
